ACADEMIC UPGRADING

Program Description

Every year thousands of students come to SAIT to train for a new career and prepare for a better future. For many of these students, the door to this new future is Academic Upgrading. Academic upgrading courses prepare you for admission to SAIT many other Alberta post-secondary institutions.

SAIT offers a wide range of upgrading courses which are equivalent to Alberta high school courses. These courses focus on developing the knowledge base you need to be successful in your post-secondary program. Check the current Alberta Transfer Guide published by The Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer for a listing of all formalized transfer agreements among Alberta post-secondary institutions.

Academic upgrading courses are offered in the fall, winter and spring semesters. You can study either full time or part time, during the day or evening. And some Academic Upgrading courses are available online.

Your Career

Upon successful completion of your upgrading courses you can meet the admission requirements for many of the post secondary programs offered here at SAIT. and most other post-secondary education institutions.
