TELECOMMUNICATIONS INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN 

Students enrolled in the Telecommunications Installation Technician apprentice program will learn the fundamentals on how to install, maintain, and repair wiring and telecommunications equipment. This program is the ideal opportunity to provide you with the job skills and experience needed to gain employment and prepare you for an entry-level career in the telecom industry.

Content of this program would be relevant to parts of the Telecom or Network Systems majors in the two-year, full-time Information Technology diploma program. Credits could be granted towards either of these majors for any individuals wanting to pursue a diploma.

Upon successful completion of this program, you will be able to follow engineering documentation to install, wire and perform basic installation commissioning tests.
