WELDING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
Program Description
The welding industry is rapidly changing. Advancing welding technology and changing technical standards are creating a need for trained welding specialists. As a graduate of this program, you will meet that need. As a specialist on the engineering team, you will not only understand the welding processes used in metal fabrication, but is also know about quality control, welding metallurgy, codes, fabrication techniques, inspection, drafting, weld design.
Your welding skills are also developed in order to gain an in-depth understanding of welding processes. The Welding Engineering Technology program is the only two-year nationally accredited welding engineering technology program in Canada.

Your Career
You will find work as welding specialist on engineering teams, in research, supervising quality control and as an inspection officer.
