REHABILITATION THERAPY ASSISTANT

Program Description

The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program will prepare you to become a knowledgeable and skilled occupational therapy or physical therapy assistant. Under the supervision of an occupational therapist or physical therapist, you will help clients with disabilities regain their physical, mental and social abilities allowing them to be active participants in society.

In the program, you will combine theory with practice through a combination of self-study, face-to-face classes and online assignments.

Your Career

Graduates may work as a rehabilitation therapy assistant specializing as physical therapy assistants (PTA) or occupational therapy assistants (OTA).

You may work in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation centres, mental health facilities, hospitals, schools and private physiotherapy clinics in both urban and rural settings.
