MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY
Program Description
In SAIT's Medical Laboratory Technology program, you will learn to apply scientific, technical and medical principles to perform and evaluate laboratory testing in a health care setting.
Classroom instruction and laboratory training will provide you with an understanding of medical laboratory sciences knowledge, skills and quality management principles.
The program contains a practicum component. As a student, you will be expected to train at affiliated sites in Southern Alberta or outside the province.

Your Career
Graduates find work as medical laboratory technologists in hospital or high-volume laboratories as well as in research labs and scientific supply companies.
