Program Description

Get the business skills you need to start a successful career in today's fast-changing business world with SAIT's Business Administration diploma program.

This two year program offers the choice of four majors: Accounting, Financial Services, Management or Marketing, so you get to choose which major is right for you. Having problems choosing which major to take? No problem, all students enrol in a common first year.

The program also utilizes laptop computers as part of SAIT's innovative e-learning delivery. As a student, you will learn the latest case studies, business simulations and term projects all on your own laptop.

Your Career

Accounting graduates will learn the theory of accounting and finance for employment in a wide variety of accounting positions in public and private sectors. An accounting diploma also puts a student well on their way to earning a professional designation (CGA, CMA OR CA).

Financial Services graduates can look forward to employment opportunities with banks, credit unions, insurance companies, trust companies, investment dealers, financial planners, real estate and leasing companies in a wide variety of entry-level positions. Financial Services graduates can challenge the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) competency exams.

Management graduates are fortunate to have the broadest base in business training. Through their varied studies, students can look forward to careers in private, public and government sectors with a broad range of job titles. Students are very successful in firms where they perform a variety of tasks and responsibilities. This major is excellent in preparing you not only for the business world, but for continued education at other institutions.

Marketing graduates are in an excellent position to pursue self-employment or secure positions in many marketing areas including advertising, public relations, promotions, marketing management, merchandising, special event marketing and sales.
