PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - RETAIL

Program Description

The Pharmacy Technician - Retail is responsible for receiving prescriptions, preparing drugs, undertaking clerical and computer duties, managing inventory and providing customer service in a retail pharmacy.

Your job is to allow the pharmacists to spend more time with clients. Pharmacy technicians must always work directly under the supervision and guidance of a pharmacist, as proper pharmacy dispensing and customer service is critical.

Your Career

You will find work in community-based retail pharmacies. long-term care facilities, or veterinary clinics. Please note although some hospitals do employ our graduates, this program does not qualify graduates to work as Pharmacy Technicians in hospital settings.
