MEDICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT
Program Description
In the Medical Laboratory Assistant program, you will learn to collect, process and prepare patient specimens, enter data, perform electrocardiograms and carry out basic laboratory procedures.
Reception and clerical procedures are also covered.
This program contains a practicum component in or outside of Calgary.

Your Career
You will work as medical laboratory assistant at community collection sites, hospital rapid-response laboratories and high-volume medical laboratories.
