Two majors: Information Systems Development and Network Management

Program Description

Bachelor of Applied Technology Information Systems integrates theory and practice in management and advanced technical skills to help you succeed in the demanding field of information technology.

A core group of courses provides a common background in management and business principles and then choose a technical major which includes theory, lab, project courses and two paid practica in the workplace. The technical majors are as follows:

  • Information Systems Development major - This specialization teaches you about business analysis, object oriented architectures, information system integration, the ROI (return on investment) of technology, distributed system design, networking and database design skills.
  • Network Management major - This specialization teaches you the architecture, design, management and testing of today's powerful network systems.

Your Career

Information Systems Development major - You will effectively analyze, design and construct information systems for corporations and design integrated technology solutions to keep the business operating efficiently.

Network Management major - You will maintain, design, implement, troubleshoot and manage computer networks for corporations.
