Program Description
The Bachelor of Applied Technology Geographic Information Systems provides you with the knowledge to perform routine and entry level geographic information systems tasks. This program is offered in a fast-paced learning environment where base technologies, software skill sets, data related issues and industry demands are in a constant state of flux.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving. It is ultimately a form of knowledge management that integrates computerized mapping with database technology and is rapidly transforming the way spatially related activities are managed.
